Hyderabad, Aug. 11 -- A 39-year-old Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus mechanic was killed after being run over by a bus while inspecting its brakes at the Jeedimetla RTC depot in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Santosh Kumar, who was carrying out repairs on an RTC bus that had developed a brake problem. According to preliminary information, Santosh was still underneath the bus after completing the repairs when the driver allegedly started the vehicle and moved it forward.
Santosh was caught under the wheels and died on the spot. The incident is suspected to have occurred due to the driver's negligence.
