Jaipur, March 6 -- Mohan Bhagwat, chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, on Friday called for maintaining unity among communities while speaking in a philosophical and spiritual tone.
Bhagwat was addressing a gathering during the Chadar Mahotsav of Jain spiritual head Dadaguru Acharya Sri Jindutta Suri of the 11th century in Jaisalmer.
He said all religions and cultures teach people to understand and follow the ultimate truth of unity in diversity among human beings across races, creeds and communities.
Bhagwat said the Shraman tradition of Jainism and Buddhism and the Brahman tradition of Vedic culture have both existed in India for centuries.
