Bhubaneswar, July 22 -- Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) on Wednesday commissioned a state-of-the-art Micro Pellet Plant with an annual production capacity of 0.18 million tonnes, marking a significant step towards sustainable steelmaking and efficient resource utilisation.
The facility was inaugurated by RSP Director-in-Charge Alok Verma in the presence of senior plant officials.
The Micro Pellet Plant, the first of its kind in the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), has been established on a Construct, Operate and Maintain (COM) basis by M/s Shri Jagannath Steels & Power Ltd. The project was commissioned ahead of its scheduled completion.
