Agartala, March 16 -- Tripura Finance Minister Pranajit Singha presented a deficit budget of Rs 34,212 crore for the 2026-27 financial year, with a deficit of Rs 240.72 crore.
During the budget presentation, Singha Roy emphasised the government's focus on development-oriented spending and infrastructure growth.
He informed the assembly that the proposed capital expenditure is Rs 8,945.92 crore, marking a 13.19 percent increase from the previous year''s budget estimate.
This increased allocation aims to strengthen infrastructure, boost economic activities, and support long-term development projects across the state.
