Hyderabad, June 18 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Thursday said the state government has disbursed Rs 3,301.90 crore under the Rythu Bima scheme to 66,038 farming families in the last two-and-a-half years, providing financial security to families that lost farmer members.
The Minister said the government has paid the entire annual premium of Rs 1,359.56 crore due to LIC for 2025-26, covering 42.16 lakh enrolled farmers across the state.
He stated that insurance assistance of RS 1,004.35 crore has already been provided to 20,087 families during the current period.
