Jagtial, Sept. 7 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced that around Rs 200 crore would be spent on the development and reconstruction of the historic Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Jagtial district.
Addressing a meeting of Congress workers in Dharmapuri late on Sunday night, Bhatti said Rs 117 crore had already been sanctioned for the temple works and an additional Rs 80 crore would be allocated following a request from Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar.
He said the long-pending demand to reconstruct and develop the temple, which had remained a subject of discussion for decades, was now being turned into reality under the Congress government.
