Mullanpur, May 29 -- Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Friday.
The toss, however, was not without controversy. Rajasthan skipper Riyan Parag called "heads", but the coin landed tails. Match referee Prakash Bhatt said he had not heard the call clearly, prompting the officials to conduct the toss again. Parag won the re-toss and chose to bat first, handing Rajasthan a slice of fortune before the crucial knockout clash.
The winner of the high-stakes encounter will advance to the IPL 2026 final.
