Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday moved the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR), alleging that the BJP had used children in a political procession held in Bhubaneswar and seeking action against those responsible.

A BJD delegation submitted a memorandum to OSCPCR Chairperson Babita Patra, claiming that minors were made to participate in a procession organised on July 12 to mark the induction of former MLA Prabhat Ranjan Biswal into the BJP.

The children were allegedly seen wearing BJP caps and scarves and carrying party flags, placards and banners during the procession.
