Bhubaneswar, Sept. 18 -- Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has developed and deployed an Artificial Intelligence-based video analytics system, "Prahari AI - Intrusion Detection with Digital Fencing," to strengthen real-time surveillance and prevent unauthorised entry into critical and restricted areas of the plant.
The AI-powered solution is part of RSP's ongoing efforts to harness digital technologies to enhance workplace safety and enable faster intervention in potentially hazardous situations.
The system has been conceptualised, developed and implemented in-house by the Digitalization Department under the guidance of CGM (NPM & Digitalization) R. K. Muduli and GM I/C (C&IT) Sumita Bhattacharya.
