Mumbai, May 8 -- NCP-SP leader and MLA Rohit Pawar strongly condemned recent incidents involving alleged sexual assaults on minor girls in Pune and Wardha districts and urged the Maharashtra government to take immediate action, including convening an urgent session of the state assembly to pass the proposed Shakti Act.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Pawar expressed concern over repeated incidents involving crimes against children and questioned the effectiveness of the existing legal framework in dealing with such offences.
