Patna, May 29 -- Lalu Prasad's daughter Rohini Acharya has strongly dismissed speculation about her possible nomination as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), calling such reports baseless and politically motivated.
The speculation surfaced after Rohini Acharya was absent from the first birthday celebration of Tejashwi Yadav's son Iraj, in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where several members of the Lalu family and party leaders were present.
Media reports later claimed that RJD chief Lalu Prasad, during his upcoming visit to Singapore for a health check-up, could attempt to persuade Rohini Acharya to return to active politics and potentially make her an MLC candidate.
