Beijing, Aug. 14 -- The upcoming second World Humanoid Robot Games will see the number of participating robots quadrupling from last year's inaugural event, organizers said.
The event, scheduled on take place in Beijing from August 22 to 26, has attracted 666 teams and 2,056 robots from 16 countries, said Jiang Guangzhi, director of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, at a media conference.
Participating robots include those from major robotics powerhouses like the United States, Germany and Japan. Brazil has also assembled a national team comprising five RoboCupsquads, Jiang said.
