Kolkata, Aug. 12 -- The crumbling roads of Kolkata, now made worse by the rains, are set to get a makeover with Urban Development and Municpal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul promising repairs by October 10.
Paul, on Wednesday said her department had sought details of roads requiring urgent repairs from different areas and had fixed Monday as the deadline for submitting the information.
"The details have been received and detailed project reports (DPRs) will be prepared immediately" Paul said before adding that Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari had directed that all roads in very bad state will have to be repaired by October 10 ahead of Durga Puja.
