Ranchi, March 11 -- The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has intensified its stray dog sterilisation and vaccination drive in the city to control the growing population of stray dogs and prevent rabies.
The campaign is being carried out with the support of the NGO Help and Animal Trust under the supervision of the municipal administration.
Officials said that between January 1 and March 10, a total of 439 stray dogs were captured during the drive.
Out of these, 306 dogs were sterilised, while 685 dogs were vaccinated against rabies across different parts of the city.
The campaign is being conducted across 53 wards of Ranchi as per the roster prepared by the municipal health branch.
