Patna, June 26 -- The RJD has questioned the Bihar government's decision to lease 15 acres of land in Teldiha, Munger, to Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev's Isha Foundation for 99 years at a nominal rate of Re 1 per acre.
In a post on X on Friday, the party said the BJP-led government had recently spent around Rs 2.64 crore to acquire the land. "What was the compelling reason to hand it over to a private institution associated with the Sangh ecosystem for a token value of just Re 1?" it asked.
The RJD said that Munger is already world-famous as the "birthplace of yoga" and is home to the Bihar government's historic Bihar School of Yoga. It questioned why such a large tract of land was being given to "a controversial private institution from outside...
