Thiruvananthapuram, March 19 -- Senior politician and former Kerala minister V. Surendran Pillai has resigned from the post of state vice-president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), citing serious dissatisfaction with the party's functioning and internal affairs.
Sources said Pillai submitted his resignation to the party leadership, expressing strong discontent over the way the Kerala unit of the RJD is being run. He is learnt to have pointed out organisational shortcomings, lack of coordination, and differences over political decisions as key reasons behind his exit.
