Patna, March 29 -- The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) today demanded rollback of the recently increased electricity tariff during peak evening hours, alleging that the move will burden consumers across Bihar.
RJD spokesperson Chitranjan Gagan said here that the state government should withdraw the decision to hike power tariffs between 6 PM and 10 PM and ensure uniform electricity rates round the clock.
He alleged that power cuts have increased across the state since the government announced 125 units of free electricity for domestic consumers. He claimed that outages are more frequent during peak hours, adversely affecting students' studies and household work.
