Patna, July 29 -- Accusing Bihar Sports Minister Shreyasi Singh of insulting a Dalit girl by allegedly refusing to accept a sweet from her during a public event, Bihar Pradesh Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad today demanded that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) apologise to the Dalit community over the incident.
Talking to media persons, Ahmad alleged here that during the programme, the Sports Minister distributed sweets to Dalit girls as part of the event, and the children accepted them. However, when one of the girls reportedly tried to offer a sweet to the minister in return, Singh allegedly declined to accept it.
