Patna, July 16 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Thursday accused the NDA government in Bihar of undermining the state''s education system, alleging that the recently inaugurated government degree colleges lack teachers, infrastructure and basic academic facilities.

RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan claimed here that although the state government inaugurated 211 new government degree colleges on July 15 with the promise of expanding access to higher education, most institutions are not equipped to begin academic activities.

According to Gagan, while admissions have already started in several colleges and six subjects are slated to be offered initially, most of the newly opened institutions have only two deputed teachers each. He alleged ...
