Visakhapatnam, June 6 -- Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), celebrated World Environment Day 2026 here on Friday with a series of programmes aimed at promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development.
Observing this year's theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future", RINL organised a mega plantation drive, planting 500 saplings comprising fruit-bearing and flowering species at four locations across the township and plant production zones.
The initiative covered nearly one hectare and reflected the organisation's commitment to enhancing green cover and ecological sustainability.
