Hyderabad, April 14 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a national consensus on the proposed increase in Lok Sabha seats, while urging that women's reservation be implemented immediately without linking it to delimitation.

In his open letter, the Chief Minister made it clear that women's reservation, delimitation and increase in Lok Sabha seats are distinct issues and should not be treated as interdependent.

He reiterated the Congress party's full support for 33 per cent reservation for women and called for its implementation with the existing 543 seats in Parliament and state assemblies.
