Hyderabad, July 18 -- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday said the spirit of people's poet Ande Sri continues to inspire his governance and commitment to Telangana's aspirations.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for Ande Sri Smruthi Vanam at Ghatkesar on the occasion of the poet's 65th birth anniversary, he described Ande Sri as a personal inspiration whose songs awakened the spirit of the Telangana movement.
The Chief Minister said the Congress government had honoured Ande Sri's legacy by declaring "Jaya Jayahe Telangana" as the State anthem, supporting poets associated with the Telangana movement and recognising their contributions.
