Hyderabad, Aug. 10 -- A retired Army man was killed and two others seriously injured in ahit-and-run accident at Hydershah Kote in Gandipet, on the outskirts of the city, on Sunday night, police said.
The accident occurred near SMP School when a speeding Mahindra SUV 350 allegedly rammed into the retired Army personnel while he was walking along the road. The former army man killed on the spot.
The SUV then allegedly hit two persons travelling on a bike-taxi. Both sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
After the incident, the young men travelling in the SUV abandoned the vehicle at the spot and fled.
