Chennai, July 6 -- Strongly opposing the new amendments to the Food Security Act envisaging reducing the foodgrains component to households from 35 kg to seven kg per month perindividual, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay on Monday evening urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to retain the present entitlement taking into account the interest of 70 lakh poor citizens in the state.
