Hyderabad, July 14 -- Hyderabad-based research organisation Resplice Autism Research Foundation will organise a free medical and research camp for children affected by measles and Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE), a rare but fatal neurological complication of measles, at Shivapuri Colony, Muppas Panchavati Colony, Manikonda, on August 9.
Announcing the initiative at a press conference here on Tuesday, Dr Chandrasekhar Thodupunuri, Founder-Chairman of the Resplice Autism Research Foundation and Institute, said the camp aims to improve understanding of the factors that make a small percentage of children who contract measles susceptible to developing SSPE years later.
