Darbhanga, July 20 -- Scientific research is expanding the possibilities for treating rabies even after the onset of clinical symptoms, but prevention through timely post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) continues to be the only proven life-saving strategy.
While addressing the 26th National Conference of the Association for Prevention and Control of Rabies in India (APCRI), Prof (Dr) Achal Kumar Srivastava of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, said here that though the related research has created hope but prevention still remains key in controlling Rabies.
