New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- Twenty-one pilgrims from Tamil Nadu, who were rescued after being stranded in Nepal's Rasuwa district following devastating flash floods in the Bhote Koshi River near the Nepal-Tibet border, arrived in New Delhi on Friday. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met the group and thanked the Nepal government and Army for their rescue efforts.
The flash floods caused extensive destruction in the Himalayan region, leaving several people dead and many others missing.
