Agartala, Sept. 30 -- Following a shooting incident and subsequent demands from all major political parties, Tripura State Election Commission has scheduled repolling for October 3 in three Village Committee seats under Matabari and Amarpur, where elections were conducted on September 28.
Despite achieving a record turnout of 81.21% across 587 Village Committees under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC), the peaceful electoral environment deteriorated in Gamaria, a border location between Udaipur and Amarpur in Gomati district, when unidentified individuals discharged firearms.
