Sangli, Oct. 9 -- Renowned veteran actress, filmmaker, Marathi playwright, and screenwriter Sai Paranjpe has been selected for this year's prestigious 58th "Vishnudas Bhave Gaurav Padak" award, by the Akhil Bharatiya Natya Vidyamandir Committee (ABNVC), Sangli.
In a press conference today, Sharad Karale, ABNVC president, said that Ms Paranjpe, 86, has been selected for her outstanding contribution to plays, Marathi films and TV serials, as a actor, producer, director and writer.
The award includes Rs 30,000 in cash, a shawl, Shreephal and gold plated 'Manchinha' citation.
