New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- India continued its strong tradition in the men's triple jump at the Commonwealth Games as Praveen Chitravel and Selva Prabhu Thirumaran clinched silver and bronze respectively in Glasgow on Saturday, ensuring another double podium finish for the country in the event.
Four years after missing a medal by just three centimetres in Birmingham, Chitravel produceda best jump of 16.58m to finally step onto the Commonwealth Games podium. The Asian Games bronze medallist finished second behind Jamaica's Jordan Scott, who claimed the gold with an effort of 16.72m.
