Red Cross district branch elections to be held on October 4

Hyderabad, Sept. 2 -- The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Telangana State Branch, has decided to conduct elections to the Management Committees of 30 district branches simultaneously on October 4, 2026.

The decision has been approved by Telangana Governor and President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State Branch, Shiv Pratap Shukla.

The terms of the Management Committees of all 30 district branches have expired, leaving the committees vacant. Additional Collectors have been appointed as Special Officers to oversee the day-to-day functioning of the respective district branches under the supervision of District Collectors, who serve as presidents of the district branches.
