Chandigarh, April 4 -- A sudden and dramatic shift in weather patterns across Punjab has resulted in heavy rainfall and significant hailstorms, bringing a sharp decline in temperatures across the state. In Amritsar, a severe hailstorm during the afternoon transformed city roads into a blanket of white, while Pathankot experienced torrential rain early in the morning.
Similar conditions were reported in Jalandhar by evening, where intense thunderstorms led to widespread waterlogging, forcing commuters to seek shelter under flyovers and roadside structures as high-velocity winds swept through the region.
