Sydney, Aug. 19 -- Australia opener Matt Renshaw is primed for his Test return after a three-year absence, with teammate Alex Carey backing the left-hander to make an immediate impact in the second Test against Bangladesh in Mackay.
The 30-year-old was recalled to the national setup following Australia's nine-wicket defeat in the ICC World Test Championship series opener in Darwin, replacing Jake Weatherald at the top ofthe order.
Renshaw strode into the nets at Great Barrier Reef Arena on Wednesday morning, set to partner Travis Head as Australia target a series-levelling victory in the Test starting Saturday.
