Una (HP), Aug. 1 -- When ordering paneer tikka at a restaurant, does the customer know whether the paneer being served is actually made from milk or is analog paneer prepared from vegetable fats and other ingredients? Concealing this information will now come at a cost.
The Himachal Pradesh Food Safety Department has issued clear directives to hotels, restaurants, dhabas, caterers and fast-food establishments that if they use analog paneer or cheese, this fact must be prominently displayed on menu cards, bills and display boards.
