Bengaluru, March 28 -- Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) players wore training kits bearing jersey number 11 as a mark of tribute to the 11 people who lost their lives in the tragic stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium last year.
The gesture formed part of a series of commemorative acts by the franchise ahead of their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In addition to the No. 11 training shirts, players wore black armbands during the pre-match training to honour the memory of the victims.
The franchise and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) have also announced that 11 seats at the Chinnaswamy Stadium will be left permanently empty as a lasting tribute, along with plans to install ...
