Bengaluru, March 26 -- In a bid to correct what he sees as an incomplete narrative around the blockbuster sale of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi on Thursday asserted that the deal is far bigger and more expensive than widely reported.
While the headline figure of 1.78 billion US dollars has dominated discussions, Modi said the actual financial outgo tells a different story. According to him, once all components are factored in, the total payout rises to nearly 1.936 billion dollars, bringing the deal closer to the two-billion-dollar mark.
