Thiruvananthapuram, June 16 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched 'RBI Reelathon 2026', a state-level awareness campaign aimed at engaging college students in the fight against cyber financial frauds, which are emerging as a major challenge across Kerala.
Inaugurating the campaign at the RBI office here, Kerala DGP Ravada Chandrasekhar expressed concern over the increasing incidence of cyber crimes, describing cyber fraud as not merely a technological issue but a serious social challenge affecting people from all walks of life.
He noted that victims and their families often suffer significant emotional distress in addition to financial losses.
