Berlin, June 18 -- RB Leipzig has dismissed coach Ole Werner after one season, despite steering the club back into the UEFA Champions League.

Assistant coaches Tom Cichon and Patrick Kohlmann have also been relieved of their duties, with sporting director Marcel Schaefer informing the coaching staff after Leipzig completed its review.

"We have once again analyzed the past season intensively and conclusively over the past few days.

On Tuesday evening we then made the decision to fill the head coach position anew," Schaefer said on Wednesday.
