Patna, Sept. 8 -- Former union Minister and Patna Sahib MP Ravi Shankar Prasad Tuesday demanded immediate repair and raising of the old zamindari embankment along the Punpun River, following flooding caused by the Ganga, Dardha and other associated rivers.
In his letter to Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, a copy of which was circulated in the media, Prasad conducted an extensive tour of flood-affected areas in his parliamentary constituency and interacted with villagers and local residents to assess the situation and understand their grievances. Based on the complaints received during his field visit, he urged the state government to take immediate action on the issue.
