Bengaluru, June 15 -- BJP MLC CT Ravi on Monday urged the Karnataka government to hand over the alleged conspiracy against Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and its Dharmadhikari, Padma Vibhushan awardee Dr D. Veerendra Heggade, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), citing claims of a Rs 200-crore campaign aimed at defaming the renowned religious institution.

In an open letter to Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Ravi said recent developments linked to the Dharmasthala controversy had created anxiety among crores of devotees and warranted an impartial probe by a central agency.
