Nagpur, July 17 -- : Defending his decision to invite Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat both to Shiv Sena (UBT)'s 'Ramraksha' campaign, party MP Sanjay Raut on Friday said the invitations were extended in all sincerity for a religious programme dedicated to Lord Ram and should not be viewed through a political lens amid the controversy over alleged irregularities in Ram Mandir donations.
Rejecting BJP leader Sandeep Joshi's remark that the invitation was merely a "political joke", Raut said the Chief Minister represents the people of the entire state and not any particular political party.
