Mumbai, Aug. 15 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP over his Independence Day address, calling for leaders aged 75 and above to make way for the younger generation and accusing the government of making misleading statements about the Opposition.
Reacting to the Prime Minister's remarks from the Red Fort, Raut welcomed his emphasis on Yuva Shakti (youth power) and his reference to the sacrifices of freedom fighters, including Bhagat Singh, but said political leaders must also demonstrate their commitment to empowering the younger generation.
