Ranchi, April 6 -- Chhatakpur panchayat mukhiya and social worker Vicky Lohra joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday along with a large number of supporters at the party's state headquarters here.
Lohra joined the party during a foundation day induction programme held in the presence of state BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi.
The joining is being seen as part of the BJP's continuing effort to deepen its organisational presence at the panchayat and grassroots level in Jharkhand.
Addressing the gathering, Aditya Sahu said the BJP's growing support base reflected public confidence in the party and its leadership.
