Kolkata, May 7 -- The post-mortem of Chandranath Rath, the slain personal assistant of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari, was videographed on Thursday for future reference, a senior official at the Barasat Government Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal said.
Meanwhile, the police have formed a special investigation team (SIT) comprising officers from CID, local police, special task force (STF) and its intelligence wing to probe the incident. Sources said threee people have been detained for questioning.
Rath was shot dead from point blank range in North 24 Parganas district's Madhyamgram, about 22 kilometres from Kolkata.
