Kochi, March 19 -- In a remarkable medical success, a five-year-old boy from the Maldives has returned home after overcoming a life-threatening genetic disorder following advanced treatment at Amrita Hospital, Kochi.
The child was undergoing treatment for Acute Intermittent Porphyria, a rare metabolic disorder, and made a full recovery after nearly three months of intensive medical care.
He was admitted to the hospital on December 13 in a critical condition after developing severe complications following a surgical procedure in the Maldives.
