Shimla, Sept. 1 -- BJP MLA Randhir Sharma on Tuesday raised the issue of unemployment in the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, accusing the Congress government of failing to fulfil its election promises to the youth and alleging that instead of creating jobs, it had abolished posts and promoted outsourced recruitment. Participating in a discussion under Rule 130 on employment related gurantee, Sharma said the Congress had promised to approve one lakh government jobs in its first Cabinet and fill them within a month.
He claimed that nearly 45 months after the government assumed office, not even 1,000 regular government jobs had been provided.
