Chandigarh, May 19 -- Senior Congress leader and Member of Parliament Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government over its rising borrowings, alleging that the state was being run entirely on debt despite promises of economic transformation.

In a post on social media platform X, Randhawa claimed that the Bhagwant Mann government had once promised "badlav" (change) to the people of Punjab but was now surviving on continuous loans.

"AAP sold Punjab the dream of 'badlav,' but today Punjab is surviving on loans after loans," Randhawa said in his post.
