Ranchi, June 18 -- An accused arrested in connection with the petrol bomb attack on the RSS office in Ranchi was injured in a police encounter on Thursday after allegedly escaping from custody and attempting to flee, police said.
The accused, identified as Saif, had been detained in the case related to the attack on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office at Nivaranpur under Chutia police station limits.
According to police, Saif allegedly escaped from Kotwali police station after seeking permission to use the washroom. Officials said he opened a water tap to create the impression that he was inside and then allegedly fled through a washroom window.
