Ayodhya, Nov. 7 -- The Ramayana came alive on Rampath as the tableaux adorned with chariots moved forward amid the resounding beats of drums, the dance of folk artists, and chants of "Jai Shri Ram", turning the land of Ayodhya to a mythical past.
The live enactment of episodes from the Ramayana moved the devotees. Female performers played drums on their shoulders during the procession. Amid the resounding sound of drums and cards, the artistes' acrobatics and folk dances from various states transformed the Rampath into a grand stage of celebration.
