Kolkata, July 6 -- Amid growing internal turmoil within the Trinamool Congress (TMC), the Election Commission has announced the schedule for bypolls to three Rajya Sabha seats from West Bengal that fell vacant following the resignation of three rebel MPs who have also left the party.
The bypolls for the three seats will be held on July 24.
Speculation over the possible occupants of the vacant seats had intensified after the resignations of the three leaders - Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, Sushmita Dev and Prakash Chik Baraik.
The crisis within TMC has become increasingly visible following the party's poor performance in the Assembly elections.
